After taking an eight year break break from running in college, I came back in 2010 not really sure what I could accomplish. For the most part, running was a way of getting myself healthy again and becoming a good role model for my son (who was born in 2010).  At first I was just doing short easy five mile runs, but soon enough I was back to racing – albeit slow.

I have also worked with Justin to devise an 18 week training plan that I have used to set PRs in the 5k, 10k, and half marathon. In 2014 I ran my first 50 mile event sneaking in just under seven hours, as well as, my first 100 mile event at the Vermont 100 Endurance Run. It is a new realm of training offering new obstacles and new learning experiences. In 2014 I became an ambassador for Orange Mud.

Shortly after the VT100 I incurred a nagging Achilles injury that I didn’t heed and has since kept me recovering since September 2015.ronananddad
