To be a successful triathlete you have to be good at swimming, cycling and running. The problem with triathlon is there are three different sports to train for. Balancing all of them and becoming good at all of them  en route to becoming a great triathlete is complicated.

To top it all off every athlete is not the same, some do better with long slow distance work, some need strength and speed training. Then we have our areas of expertise, running comes natural and easy for me, cycling and swimming don’t.  So should I ditch running and focus on swimming and cycling? In my personal blog I make an effort to explore all of these areas of concern and offer some advice for training toward your first or best triathlon.
